Cigarettes or Black Belt (1990)

Out of all the PSA's in the 90's this one made the most sense to me.I do have to admit, however, that alot of the smoking PSA's did the exact opposite on what they were trying to prevent. I did smoke at one time and this just kinda exacerbated the desire and the appeal cigarettes had. Lucky for me though that I quit that nasty habit before it got really bad.

pookey, no shit you still perform fine in sports, you've been smoking for at most 5-6 years? Wait about 20-30 years and then see how 'athletic' you still feel. My dad smoked since he was 13, he has a minor heart attack and had heart surgeory to prevent a massive one. I don't even see the reason for smoking anyway! It's utterly pointless.

I got so sick of this commercial; it seriously made me want to smoke more.

i played football when i started smoking and it didn't affect me
i think if your already in good shape and keep on exercising when you start smoking you'll never be in to bad of physical shape but if you start smoking 1st it is a pain in the @$$ to where you don't get easily exhausted

I won't lie... I never really understood what smoking has to do with not passing a belt test. I smoke AND play sports, and I preform perfectly fine!

I so remember this commercial, this was the reason I didn't smoke. I was starting Tae Kwon Do at the time!
