I wouldn't call what they're doing here singing. It's more like they're creating less fear inducing soud effects.

This came out in 1993. But it lasted quite awhile. and I lvoe the singing in this one.

what came on pbs kids on this ident?
jonghyunchung Posted 7 years 7 months ago
^I don't recall. Mostly on the second season, I only saw the dancing P-heads at the end.
    mjamil123 Posted 7 years 8 months ago
did this logo came at the end of barney?
jonghyunchung Posted 7 years 8 months ago
^This actually came out in late 1992, when it was used concurrently with the 3D glass ident (1989), which expired in 1993.
    mjamil123 Posted 7 years 8 months ago
Is this the 1995 pbs ident?
    99Centsplease Posted 7 years 8 months ago
Also, to all those people who say this was made on computers, well, according to Wikipedia, it WASN'T. It was made on film (the PBS head logo was made from frosted glass). I wonder what happened to the models used in this ID.

I remember seeing this on TV ONCE, and that was in 2001. I woke up at 6 in the morning and turned on the TV. Then this ID came on. I thought it was just a dream until now.

^You're thinking about the alternate PBS logo that featured the blurry P-head and used the audio from the PBS '89 logo.
    RetroBen81 Posted 8 years 9 days ago
Didn't I know that some sources say this particular ident was used from 1989 to 1999?
CheezNapkin Posted 8 years 21 days ago
    He said BS. uhuhuh.
jonghyunchung Posted 8 years 24 days ago
Also, I taped this logo after a 1987 episode of Mama's Family.
jonghyunchung Posted 8 years 24 days ago
I'm confused. Was this logo first used in very late 1992, or in the Winter of 1993?
KRW Posted 8 years 24 days ago
^ It did after PBS started using their windowsill logo.
    mr3urious Posted 8 years 24 days ago
^ Originally, the dog (named P-Pet), didn't carry the balloon.
KRW Posted 8 years 25 days ago
There was also the PBS kids "E/I" ident that featured Dancing P-Heads sing "This is P-B-S-SS!" then a dog gives the P-head a blue baloon that read "E/I".

That one used to scare me to death!
    the-micro-man Posted 8 years 27 days ago
    Whoa! Near-perfect quality!
KRW Posted 8 years 27 days ago
No wonder it looks crystal clear!
Roadgeek Posted 8 years 27 days ago
I'm the one who uploaded this and I thought I'd give you all a little info on it. I recorded this in December of 1994 on PBS's EchoStar satellite station. I'm not sure when they started and stopped using it.
KRW Posted 8 years 27 days ago
This is the clearest version of this PBS logo that I've seen.
