this logo use to send chills down my spine when i was like six

That lawsuit occurred during 1974.

In the first place Worldvision Enterprises was sued by World Vision the charitable organization over the name. They had to put the disclaimer there as part of the settlement between the two companies.

Post-1988 prints of Hanna-Barbera cartoons (before Ted Turner's takeover of HB in 1991) often had this logo at the end.

This still comes on after Little House on the Prairie.

Um, it's obvious that we don't need a disclaimer at the bottom of this logo.
