    Ronco was the company founded by invention wizard and "infomercial guru" (a title that is not befitting of him despite the fact that the 2-minute commercials for his products, such as his world famous Pocket Fisherman, laid the foundation for the format) Ron Popiel. Since the 70's, he ran what would become, in time, an enterprise where he would give newbie inventors a fair shot at test-marketing their newly patented products. And being the successful pitchman he was, there was nothing this man couldn't sell, including record compilations like the one seen here.
