Couldn\'t understand a word. Failed to teach me french at it\'s best, and what\'s it\'s name for? Muzzy? What\'s a muzzy?
    Ian16545 Posted 5 years 10 months ago
I\'ve been attached to Muzzy since the time my mom ordered the program so she could learn French herself. In fact, we\'ve still got both versions at home- French AND English.

    \"A, E, I, O, U... je t\'aime.
    A, U, O, I, E... tu m\'aimes.
    A, E, I, U, O... en moto.
    I, O, U, E, A... on y va.
    A, U, I, O, E... tous les deux.
    A, E, I, O, U... je t\'aime.
    A, E, I, O, U... m\'aimes-tu?\"

While it\'s true that French kids wouldn\'t need an instructional video- before the lady tells us what we are seeing, all we know is that kids are watching a video in French, and then speaking French, which could happen if they actually were French and were just watching tv.

This commercial is on again but the \"i can speak freanch\" is replaced with \"i can speak spanish.\"

    Otherwise it\'s the same commercial.

I watched this in my 6th grade French class. I couldn\'t understand a word they were saying without instruction from my teacher. It failed to teach me French.
datura Posted 8 years 3 months ago
they aren\'t native French speakers? I\'m Shocked!
ChowTimer Posted 8 years 5 months ago
This was even on in the early 2000\'s. Its been on all the time.

Its quite easy to tell that those kids aren\'t French because if they were really French then they wouldn\'t need an instructional video showing them how to speak French so the woman in the beginning of the commercial must think we are a bunch of idiots.

What I want to know is how anyone could understand what Muzzy (I assume he was the hairy character) was saying in the opening to confidently repeat it....

This was on early morning Nick all the time in the late 80\'s/early 90\'s...
Roadgeek Posted 8 years 9 months ago
I remember this so vividly. When was this aired from? I remember seeing it from the early 90\'s all the way up to about maybe 2003.
blueluigi Posted 8 years 10 months ago
I remember that commercail lasted until the DVDs came out.

I always wanted this product. Did it work though?
Sunriser Posted 9 years 1 day ago
Hehe. One of my friends used to claim that she knew how to speak French because of this, but all she could say was \"Je suis les une fille.\" Obviously, she only watched the commercial, which was pronounced incorrectly anyway.
