From the information I got off of Wikipedia, Chuck E. Cheese filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in 1984, Showbiz bought them. The both opperated as seperate enities, eventually all Showbiz Pizza Places were converted to Chuck E. Cheese in the early 1990's. Thus the Pizza time players booted the Rock-A-Fire show's out of existance in the vast majority of locations.

I don't remember the commercial, but I was at the Joliet location lots of times when I was little. And yes, Showbiz Pizza did use the line "where a kid can be a kid"

If anyone has the Showbiz ad with the CEC tagline, please submit it.

Showbiz and Chuck E. had both existed where I grew up, then Chuck E. cheese had closed down, and Showbiz had used the motto "Where a kid can be a kid" and then later showbiz changed their name to Chuck E. Cheeses (I believe that it used to be called Chuck E. Cheese)

Say, didn't Showbiz own Chuck E. Cheese's at one time? And also, was there one Showbiz Pizza ad that used the CEC tagline "Where a kid can be a kid"?

It WAS Chuck E. Cheese for me, when I was a kid. There were like 3 Showbizes around, but they eventually all became Chuck E. Cheeses...

Not sure if it was some kind of takeover...ah well...

    TO WIKIPEDIA!

Hmmm... Looks like a cheap knock off of Chuck E. Cheese.
