    an underrated installment of Castlevania, but if not for this game, it wouldn't have paved the way for the RPG elements in many of the "Metroidvania" installments like Portrait of Ruin and Symphony of the Night.

      Wow, I'd all but forgotten that ad.

      And it was a good game, really. Most of the hate it gets is undue...
