Not to seem maudlin in any way, but wouldn't it be ironic (if not characteristic of American politics) if, when she does becomes president in 2008, and makes good with her promise to outlaw handguns, that a draft suddenly goes into effect? Then EVERY 17-year old (or even 16-year old, as I've just heard of recent changes in the Draft Bill) will have, instead of plain old handguns, their own *standard issue rifles*, courtesy of the good ol' U.S. Armed Forces!(Boys and girls, can you say "paradox"?)
