Dana did a skit where he was Bill Clinton, wearing an animal-like nipple vest, and he had a bunch of puppies suckling on the teets. It became this big, overblown scandal. Allegedly ABC recieved a bunch of complaints from viewers -- and Taco Bell, who sponsored the show, were up in arms over it, and they instantly pulled all their ads from the network for a while. The skit wasn't really funny, but it wasn't as offensive as the controversy would lead one to believe. And a decade later, seems like it's been forgotten altogether...
Yep. The Premiere was "The Taco Bell Dana Carvey Show." Because of the scandal surrounding that first episode, the show got yanked after just a few episodes.
