I remember this! And it's because of this commercial that I actually bought Lava, not till the mid-90's though. The stuff would tear your hands up, especially in the cold New York winters, it was so abrasive! I never even finished mine.

Lava is the best soap EVER.

It's sorta sad, with as dated as that jingle is, that it's etched in the recesses of my mind....
