Burger King's Big King (1990)

This was introduced in 1997 I believe. It was supposed to be competition for the big mac and it was only 99 cents when it first came out. The price rose shortly afterward.

And yes, the stacker was insane compared with this. I think they had to take it off the menu because it was deemed too unhealthy. The stacker with 4 patties, deemed the quadrastacker, had something like five pieces of cheese and three slices of bacon on it in addition to the meat. Talk about gross. My fiance once ate one of those things and he said it felt like his stomach was going to burst.

I remember this one for some odd reason.

I don't even like burgerking that much but when they ahd this thing it was great. it was sort of like the big mac of burger king . same kind of sauce and it was good.

This burger is nothing compared to the BK stacker, which gives you a choice of 2, 3 or 4 patties on it.

99 cents for the big king burger though is a pretty good deal for the time.

The BK stacker makes this burger look like a salad.

I honestly don't remember this. What year did Burger King have this? Obviously this was a bigger version of the Big Mac.

I remember the Big King. I used to eat it at Burger King but it was not as great as the Big Mac at McDonald's. The song on that commercial was "Get Ready" by the Temptations. I remember Burger King used to put oldies music on every commercial back in the late 90's.

What was that brown stuff being spread on the burger about 9 seconds in?

this burger wasn't great; it was half-decent if you were really really hungry and needed something to eat. But it was a lot neater than the Big Mac, that's for sure!
