    I forgot to mention also that these characters were not as creepy as the Burger King's purple sidekick.

    I always thought that that's who it was when I was young, but then again many people also mimicked his voice Patrickballoonman. And Patriot I agree with you, I always enjoyed those characters, and many older McDonalds places still have pics of them and often I have been asked who they are, Sad that our generation of children do not know these characters, yet they only recognize Ronald. The Fry Guy's were my favorite, and I also liked the Hamburglar before they changed him. Sometimes they still show the Hamburglar, yet he is not the same as he was in the early 80's.

    Mayor McCheese sounds a little bit like the late Ed Wynn who played Uncle Albert in 1964's "Mary Poppins," don't you think?

    Ronald looks really tired by the end of this commercial. He probably collapsed on the ground right after the commercial was done.

    OMG! Mayor McCheese! The Professor! Captain Crook! And Big Mac The Cop!! Hadn't seen them in a long time! Wonder whatever happened to 'em? :-)
