After we moved from NYC, we still received Channel 9 via cable. I remember this ID. It was probably created and used subsequent to their move to Secaucus, NJ. The style and the music were a symbol of the RKO Channel 9 we all remember. Channel 9 was great before the crazy FCC Syndex Laws were passed in 1989 where Channel 9 and other superstations were forced to block out some of their programming to outside cable subscribers. SOme of their programs that were aired in their New York market were not all seen after 1990. WWOR used an EMI service that provided alternative programing segments. Now many cable stations do not carry Channel 9 as they have been replaced with the portfolio of networks.
