I like the other "9 All Night" package better (the one with the cityscape and the moon).

I remember these movie intros as a kid watching movies on Channel 9. The music and the lighting "9" were a pleasant and enticing introduction to the movies! It really captured the attention of the audience. They were also used on the Thursday night movies in the 80s and early 90s. Now that UPN and WB will be taken off the air whereby UPN 9 will lose its UPN programming, they should consider restoring movie features using this very intro, music and 9 design as a replacement for the lost programming. If they consider a change, I recommend they only change the "9" logo and keep the music, lighting and flying format. It is great to see this again as it brings back many happy memories watching quality movies on Channel 9! I am happy that Retrojunk selected an intro without any speech as it enables vistors to fully enjoy the musical scape of the intro.

This is another movie package called "9 All Night". They used the same opening as "Saturday Afternoon Movie", "Sunday Afternoon Movie", "Movie Special" and others without the "9" in gold. In later years, they used the "Universal 9" logo in the bottom of the intro where a number of movie packages were in place. There was no announcer on this clip. Foe example "Good evening and welcome to '9 All Night'. Tonight, Kurt Russell, Joe Flynn and Harry Morgan stars in 'The Barefoot Executive'". That should work with it.
Quote O' Matic
Harry: Well the guys are betting how long your going to stay alive as my partner.
Early: Is that something that I should be worried about.
