Toys R Us Christmas (1970)

Wow, I took my husband to Toys R Us, where we live and all he kept singing was "I'm a Toys R Us Kid" He was like 30 at the time.

No doubt. What a great commercial!! If that wouldn't make you lose your mind as a kid back then, nothing would have. LOVE IT!! Love the site!!

This is very cute! However, did anyone else notice that they were driving with the top down while it was snowing? LOL

Thank you for this video. I can't tell you how good it feels to watch it. I too remember it from the Christmas specials. I still remember going to Toys R Us and being in complete awe of wall to wall, floor to ceiling toys!

Used to love Toys R Us as a kid. Haven't grown out of it though, I still play tons of video games and from time to time they sell certain ones ahead of schedule so I go and check out the game section to see what's avaialable.

This commercial really took me back to my childhood!I remember this Toys R Us commercial nestled between the Charlie Brown Christmas,Frosty the snowman specials, and others. It added to the Christmas magic and anticipation we all felt as children!

This commercial was actually in the beginning of "Colbereth" in 1986 or 87 or something like that.

I liked the giraffe animated. This is when Christmas was beautiful!

So the whole point of this commercial was just to tell everyone that they had a new store opened in Yonkers. lol! Yes, we were all dying to know that.

I do remember the commercial, but there was a scene from the movie "Cobra" with Sylvester Stallone where they were hearing a "Toys R Us Time of Year" jingle heard in the background while segueway back to the news. Cool!
