Ed Edd n Eddy

Many of us think that Cartoon Network's glory days were in the late 90s and early 2000s, and I think that you are right. Although I was born in 1994, my earliest memory of Cartoon Network was in 1998, when they were showing promos for one cartoon, a cartoon that would become my favorite Cartoon Cartoon of all time. "Which one" you say? Well, four words:



Ed Edd n Eddy was such a brilliant show, I have always been entertained by it , because it's such a good show. Sure, it can get annoying, in fact, it felt like Johnny Bravo, but I liked this better than Johnny Bravo. My favorite episode would have to be "One + One = Ed" because it was so fun watching the eds mess up the demention and seeing the characters messed up. My least favorite episode would have to be "If It Smells Like an Ed" because it was so unfair, unlike most episodes where something bad happens to the Eds in funny way, this time something bad happens to them in a cruel way, Jimmy was the main villian and nothing bad even happens to him at the end.

Now I'll talk about the characters.

First, Double D. If Ed wasn't on this show, then Double D would be my favorite character, not only is he smart, but he's not smart in an annoying way, but in a good way. I love the fact that he always knows what's right and isn't too bossy, but since Double D is the second most loved character on the show, he definately isn't bossy. Double D was my second favorite character, speaking of my 2nd favorite, I'm about to talk about my favorite.

Second, Ed. Ed has always been my favorite character, he is just so funny, I haven't heard him say a joke that wasn't comedic genius. I love on how whenever Ed does something stupid, Double D usually helps him out, but Ed still does a stupid thing, that's what made him so funny. Ed was what basically made this show my favorite Cartoon Cartoon, if he wasn't on this show, it probably wouldn't get past a season, besides, Edd n Eddy doesn't sound as good as Ed Edd n Eddy.

Third, Eddy. Although I kinda like Eddy, he's still my least favorite of the 3 Eds. He's annoying and is sometimes the reason why the eds get in trouble. Besides, it's hard to have Eddy as your favorite when the other two eds are Ed and Double D. I don't have much to say about Eddy, he's just an O.K. character.

Now, the kids of the cul-de-sac. The cul-de-sac kids are pretty cool, some I like, some I don't like. My favorite one would probably be Rolf because he does the craziest things, Jonny would be a close second because his chats with Plank are just geniuse. Nazz is pretty good, although she can can get annoying, at least she doesn't mess up the Eds scams (on purpose. at least). Kevin, Jimmy and Sarah all tie for my least favorite characters, I started hating Jimmy ever since If It Smells Like an Ed (mentioned above), and Kevin and Sarah have always been bad, they usually mess up the Eds scams on purpose.

Last and probably least, the Kanker Sisters. The reason why I hate the Kankers is because all they do is kiss the Eds, now, I understand that they love them, but it's getting annoying. Another reason why I hate them is the fact that sometimes they ruin the Eds scams (though not as much as Kevin and Sarah).

Now I'll talk about the show itself again. I have seen every single episode, most good, some bad. On April 2007 (can't remember the date), Cartoon Network did a marathon called "The Best Day Edder" which was 36 non-stop hours showing all the Ed Edd n Eddy episodes, all leading up to the "Last Episode". I watched this entire marathon from start to finish, and the last episode was actually pretty good. Although the newer episodes aren't as good as the older ones, they are better then the newer episodes of oher cartoons (such as Family Guy or Spongebob Squarepants).

In closing, Ed Edd n Eddy is a very good show and has always been my favorite Cartoon Cartoon, and is one reason why my favorite years of Cartoon Network were between 1998 - 2004, which is funny because 1998 is the year when a lot of people said that Nickelodeon started declining (personally I think that Nickelodeon started to decline in 2003 and think that CN started to decline in 2006). I heard that Ed Edd n Eddy might get another season and in 2008, they'll be getting a TV movie called "Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture show."

PS: We sould watch more episodes of South Park and less episodes of Naruto.
