Where are the Classics?

I want them back now! Do You?

I've been feeling so nostalgic lately. I felt like I had to write an article because I'm really angry that I cant find a good cartoon to watch. I don't want to have to go to the store and spend 30 bucks for a DVD. Don't get me wrong Disney was doing a great job in showing them but all the sudden things change.

I been on the net trying to find info on Disney news to see if any new channels were in the works. I found nothing. Its very frustrating when Disney once devoted a channel to the old classics and the classics aren't even there anymore. Sure they show a couple old shows but its very inconvenient. On Toon Disney they show Chip n Dale, Goof Troop, Aladdin, Little Mermaid. Thats it for the good classics shows. The worst thing is that they show these shows in the morning when I'm in school. I feel kind of selfish but that's really not a good time for me or anyone else to watch it. They should create a new channel.

I'm constantly trying to find info but I'm not successful. I always wonder if anyone else does this but I think I'm really obsessed with these cartoons. I don't know if anyone feels this way but when I watch these Toons they give you the best feeling its makes everything feel better. Especially Ducktales and Darkwing Duck.

Last but not least if anyone heres has any news about Disney or the Disney classics (besides them being released on DVD) please let me know what you hear. I would love to see these cartoons on Toon Disney or a New Classic channel. Who wouldn't?

why do people keep calling shows like ducktales anf darkwing duck classics? don't get me wrong, they're great and all. but i would think the old mickey mouse, donald duck, goofy etc cartoons would be classics

If you're so infatuated with these old cartoons, why not go blow thirty bucks on the DVD?
Anyway, not much content in this article. In a nutshell, it's just pictures and poorly crafted whining.

Wah, wah, wah. Stop your complaining, buy the DVDs and MOVE ON! I agree that Jetix is basically eating Toon Disney alive since it's on for 14 hours every weekday and 17 hours on the weekends, but stop crying. It's popular. Disney keeps expanding it because people actually like it and it's making them money. Yes, I don't care for most of the stuff on Jetix, but why shall we complain about it when we are out of the target audience the network is aiming for? A lot of the older Disney cartoons were pulled because of ratings.

At least be happy that they are on DVD so that you can watch them anytime you want.

Well, you may have no choice but to, or just watch them on the internet. Disney is not making a classic channel any time soon.

Yeah, these type of articles are starting to piss me off. Enough whining already. Just buy the DVDs or look online for the shows.

They are most likely aren't bringing those cartoons back. They have to play new stuff whether we like it or not. They are not trying to appeal to people out of the channel's demographics. Just buy the DVDs and move on already. Enough of the Nickelodeon/Disney/Cartoon Network sucks now articles.

Classics? How about the ACTUAL classic Disney shorts and movies like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and stuff like that. Most of these shows aren't even 20 years old so it's too soon to be calling them classics. They played most of this crap a lot anyways and hardly played any of the pre-late 80s Disney cartoons anyways.

Unfortunately, Disney has no plans to change their ways, at least not anytime in the near future.Why?Because they're morons, i guess.That's why they haven't made a good feature film in 10 years.

I totally agree with you! You're not alone in this world. You should check out my article, "There's Nothing Good On TV", just to see how I feel about the situation. Just something I think you should also consider, I've noticed that Disney hasn't been putting out any new shows on DVD lately; I mean, what's up with that? DAMMIT, BRING OUR TOON DISNEY BACK!!!

Because in 1992, when I got the Disney Channel, they showed all the classics and a lot of educational shows and movies.
In 1995, when I stopped getting the Disney Channel, it was still the same (I think.)
In 2002, Vault Disney ended. Where the hell can I get some of Walt Disney's show on DVD?
