New Age T.V. Crap

I was born in 1988 and I am now 18 years old. Though I guess I'm not an 80's child because I was born in the late 80's, I like to think I am because many of the shows from the 80's and early 90's I grew up with and, dare I say it, fell in love with. I've grown up watching; G.I. Joes, The Transformers, Doug, Hey Dude, Are You Afraid of the Dark, and much much more. I miss these shows dearly and it does pain me to see what utter shit has replaced these classics. I live in Germany now and do not get much American T.V., so I haven't seen much of the changes in about two years, but recently I've gotten a hook up so that I may watch good ol' American T.V. and when I turned to stations like Nick, Disney, or even Cartoon Network, I was shocked. There are shows on the air I have never heard before, I forget their names because I have yet to care about these new garbage shows. I was sitting around watching some of these shows and I realize how much they've dumbed down from when I was a kid, hard to believe, eh? I mean, watching shows like Doug and even Hey Arnold had it's funny moments, but would also have a message built into it, or just plain and funny shows like Rocko's Modern Life and Angry Beavers, but these shows that I have seen is nothing but a bunch of cheap toilet humor and badly written puns. I mean, every two minutes in some of these new shows there was always a fart joke, or some kid would fight away the evil monsters by picking up his pet dog and using it to fart on his enemies to get them away. How fucking lame is that?! I mean, where is the creative genius? What also erks (Spelling?) me is the new "The Batman" show. Give me good ol' fashion "Batman: TAS" anyday of the week. After watching, "The Batman" I felt like I wanted to shove a few knifes in my eyes and into my ears. The show is nothing like the original. You know, the old fashion 1994 (I Believe) Batman where it was actually dark and some episodes would scare the shit out of me. "The Batman" is watered down from the orignal, filled with a lot of lame ass villian wanna be's and a lot, and I mean, alot of bad puns. That's life I guess though. Alot of people don't care for the old stuff anymore and I wish them all to hell for putting some of this new age crap on the air.
