Not much of an article here but simply created to help kick off the Halloween season. Of course there are other worthy songs, soundtracks, and sound effects that help stir up those eerie emotions but here are some of my retro favorite music videos. Enjoy.

"Monster Mash"

by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. The video is featuring the Groovie Goolies. The Groovie Goolies were before my time, they were are Filmation production and it ran from 1970 to 1972.

"Nightmare on My Street"

by non other than The Fresh Prince Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff. The original video is nowhere to be found. Apparently there was a lawsuit between New Line and Will/Jazzy Jeff, but I loved this one as a kid. Freddy made me shat my pants back in the day but Will Smith lightened the tone up enough for me to enjoy this one.

"Are You Ready for Freddy"

by the Fat Boys. For some reason I never saw this one before. I stumbled across it looking for "Nightmare on My Street". The Fat Boys were classic back in the 80's. If you haven't seen their movie "Disorderlies" you need to check it out. Anyways back to the music videos.

by Ray Parker Jr. Really this is probably my favorite music video on the entire list. Ghostbusters was a phenomenal movie, 80's pop music ruled the day for me, and the video itself is sooo 80's.

by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. You knew this one had to be on the list. Voted as the most influential pop music video of all time and selling over 9 million units making it the highest selling music video of all time back in 2006. Little did I know Michael's costar in the video, Ola Ray, was a Playboy Bunny as Miss June 1980. I'm sure most of you already knew that but for the rest of you, you can google her later. And the ending with Vincent Price is unforgettable. So here it is in all it's greatness...Thriller!
