Hello again RetroJunk. It is I, somedude, back to review great games from the past! If you're wondering where I've been, my profile will explain. So anyways, let's get to the review!

Released on October 31, 1998 by Naughty Dog, this third installment in a game franchise took a HUGE step in making a struggling Sony mascot into a full fledged, butt-kicking, Wumpa collecting, VG hero! Who am I talking about?

I can say this was easily a great game. The story, the new things to do, the new characters. Everything was greatly improved from the first two, espically the graphics. The graphics were perfect, It was brightly colored, everything seemed to pop out, and it had the right look of cartoony craziness. Also, the voice acting was superb once again. My favorite voice, personally, is Neo Cortex.

The great thing was how good the controls were. If you wanted to jump, you just had to easily press the X button, instead of jamming it down as hard as you can! Also, if you wanted to go forward, just hold the directional button up. How many of you have had a problem with the direction to get your character to go, so you tried to lean near the TV with your controller pressing the up button with all your might, thinking that it will do anything? Cause I know I have. But not to fear, you don't have to do that here.

Ok, now that I got that out of the way I can talk about what I really enjoyed: the boss levels. there were five bosses all together in the game. Here they are in order:

Tiny the Tiger in Ancient Greece: It was fun. but I hated those lions that came out, they kept eatin' me!

Dingodile in the Mountains: I love that after you beat him, the little penguin he picked on jumps on him!

Dr. N. Trophy in his Lair: My second favorite boss battle, and I loved the music and the background. So futuristic!

Dr. N. Gin in Space: my favorite boss battle in the whole game. It reminded me of old space shoot em' up games. Beware, there are two parts in this boss level, plus this is the only boss level where you get to play Coco.

Dr. N. Cortex and Uka Uka in the Time Twister core: Too easy. I was expecting a huge final battle.

Another thing I enjoyed was the Crash motorcycle levels. I can't explain why, but I loved those levels. Maybe it's the jacket.

But what I hated was levels where you had to shoot down those blasted blimps and planes. It's hard to do that while trying to avoid getting shot at by the other planes. But try doing that while in time trial mode! Insanity, I tell you! There are also secret bonus levels in the game, but you can only get to them if you collect enough stuff, so stop slacking, and collect those things. Are you gonna be a slacker your whole life, McFly?

Alright, enough small talk, time for the judgement!
