Pizza Planet Truck!

This truck is seen in just about every Pixar film

Pixar has been famous for being the first to make a CGI film, make fake and funny bloopers, and lets not forget 'Easter Eggs'!

The most common Easter egg that Pixar have ever done, is the Pizza Planet Truck.

and it all began with 'Toy Story'

--SPOILERS ALERT!!!--

Toy Story

The famous scene at the Dinoco station where Buzz is fighting Woody about him being thrown out the window, and Woody is fighting Buzz because he is jealous that he is Andy's new favorite toy. After they were fighting, Woody finds himself lost at the station, while Buzz is with him still being deluded. As Woody is trying to work out how to get back, he remembers that Andy was going to Pizza Planet, and he sees a Pizza Planet truck right next to him and with his quick thinking, he gets both him and Buzz into the car.

Pizza Planet here they come!

A Bug's Life

The 'A Bug's Life' Easter egg made people laugh when they first saw it.

The scene where Flik is almost at the Bug City, you can see next to the van, is the Pizza Planet truck right there.

This is the first Pizza Planet truck Easter egg by Pixar and it's second appearance in a Pixar feature film.

Toy Story 2

"Pizza anyone?" is the first thing Mr. Potato-Head said when he notices a car parked right next to all the toys, with the engine still running. IT'S THE PIZZA PLANET TRUCK!

All the toys hop in the truck and try there best to drive it so they can rescue there old pal Woody.

Monsters Inc

In Monsters Inc, the Pizza Planet Easter egg was around 90% the same as it was in 'A bug's life'.

Just after Sulley trows that jerk Randall into a random door, they show a clip of where Randall ended up, and it is in the same van right next to the Bug City from 'A Bug's Life', only this time it's night and you can hear who's in the van.

Finding Nemo

In Finding Nemo, at the scene where Gill is explaining to Nemo his plan to get him and everyone else out of that tormenting tank, you can see for less then a second on the road, the Pizza Planet truck rushes by.

It was obvious by now that once a Pixar film was released, the legendary Pizza Planet truck will follow!

Cars

We all knew that it had to be in this film, because the title is called Cars, the movie is about Cars, and it just seems stupid not to have it.

Just before the Piston Cup Final FINALS begins, you can see near the camera stand, is the Pizza Planet truck named Todd.

Ratatouille

The scene where Remy is trying to get the letter to linguini as quick as he can before skinner grabs it off him. But if you look really well in the background, you can see the Pizza Planet truck on the bridge (or is believed to be the Pizza Planet truck).

WALL-E

This Easter egg shocked me when I first saw it, because I didn't see it at first!

The scene when EVE is on Earth scanning for life, one of the things you see her scan is the Pizza Planet truck looking worse then ever!

UP

I haven't seen 'UP' yet, but thanks to the Internet, I now know where to find that little bugger (giggles).

Near the end of the film, you can start to see the camera shot is starting to zoom down, and on the upper right, is the Pizza Planet truck parked.

And there you have it folks!

I hope you enjoyed it, but whats still to say about 'The Incredibles' you ask?

So far that is the only Pixar movie that hasn't been proven to have seen the Pizza Planet truck anywhere.

But I'm sure it's there somewhere.

And what about Toy Story 3?

Well, since it's another Toy Story film, I strongly say it would be in there someone, if not, then I don't know what they were thing?

One has to wonder where it would show up in the movie "Brave," which is about to come out. The movie takes place in middle ages Ireland lol...

    I love Pizza Planet!

    @Blackwind

    You are very correct!

When Mr Incredible is given a room to stay in, Mirage says to him the room is called A1-13.

Ratzenburger does in-fact voice yet another character in the film, as the unexpected villain near the end.

But the Pizza Planet Truck still gets me?
I've looked everywhere on the film, and I still can't see it.
There are yellow cars spotted in that scene but none of theme seem to be a Toyota.

But I'm not getting my hopes up, I will keep looking.

    Thanks Blackwind.

According to my research regarding the Incredibles:

"The Pizza Planet truck can be seen on the road when the family arrive in the van towards the end of the film. Ratzenburger shows up right at the very end, voicing the Underminer. Pixar actually have a third thing that shows up in each film - the code A113, which refers to a classroom used by animation students at the California Institute of the Arts."

    Hope that helps. Happy Hunting.

I agree with surfingthechaos. They should make a movie ans set it inside a pizza planet. It could be like ChuckECheese. Follow the life a teenage boy working there and going to school. Trying to get the girl of his dreams,(who works there too) and hang out with his goofy best friend(the delivery man).

There you go, I wrote the movie, now lets pitch it to Disney.

Mmmm pizza... I enjoy all things triangular
surfingthechaos Posted 3 years 6 months ago
They should just make a movie called Pizza Planet. That would actually be cool.

Great article, man. Wouldn't it be awesome if Pizza Planet restaraunts were real? Thumbs up on your article.
Nashida Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Wow, I wouldn't have thought to look for the truck. I'm usually trying to catch other Easter Eggs in the movies, like when Jessie was in Boo's room in Monsters Inc.
Shepard of Suburbia Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Wow, I love the all Pixar movies (except cars), but I didn't know the Pizza Planet truck appears in every one.
    CaptainMario16 Posted 3 years 6 months ago
    @DrewP

    Read the end.
DrewP Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Huh... I noticed that the Incredibles was not mentioned at all... Where is that Pizza Planet?
    DirtyD1979 Posted 3 years 6 months ago
I also noticed in a lot of movies the airline used is called Oceanic.
    jango52577 Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Good heavens!! That truck has been in every Pixar film!! :-D Ever since I saw Toy Story when I was ten I wished that Pizza Planet was a real place.
    funguy10 Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Next you should make an article on the A-113 easter egg found in every movie.
    Ian16545 Posted 3 years 6 months ago
One other Pixar Easter egg I notice a lot is, during the credits, when they show the "production babies". They're the babies born to the people behind the scenes during production.
cmills Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Pretty cool! And of course Dinoco is the gas station company in Toy Story as well as a major racing sponsor in the movie Cars.
AcousticWonder Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Ok, well for some reason it just puts in a darn space, so get rid of it and it works. Sheesh.
AcousticWonder Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Oops, that didn't work. This should. A darn space got in there somehow.

This is a cool article. Good work. And as for Ratatouille, this may be a better shot where it is more easily distinguishable:

Ha, that's just hilarious. I love it when Pixar tries to hide certain characters/objects from one of their popular films.
Spencer Posted 3 years 6 months ago
This was really interesting! Never even knew about it.
    CaptainMario16 Posted 3 years 6 months ago
    @dalmationlover

Your someone that's very interested in this stuff. But no, I won't make an Article of the other Easter Eggs unless if I think it's a good idea, or if I have more time.

The reason I did this Article on the Pizza Planet Truck is because it's my favorite Movie Easter Egg of all time, and I used to love it when I was a kid.
dalmatianlover Posted 3 years 6 months ago
There are other recurring Easter eggs in the Pixar films. Aside from the Pizza Planet truck, there are three others:

    1. There's a yellow beach ball with a blue stripe and a red star.
    2. The number A113 is always found somewhere in the film.
    3. There's always a character in every Pixar movie who is voiced by John Ratzenberger.

I wonder if you'll make this a series of article and talk about those.
JaredSouth Posted 3 years 6 months ago
    groovy ....
    ratatouille's is a bit of a stretch - i'll def. be checking in toystory3
bamfingnightcrawler Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Captain Mario didn't forget about the Incredibles Dalmatian lover. He mentions it at the end when he says that it is the only Pixar movie to not have a known location of the Pizza Planet truck in the film. If it is, then it is a secret that Pixar only knows.
    Ian16545 Posted 3 years 6 months ago
All this talk of "Pizza Planet" makes me wish Pixar would go into the restaurant business...
mrtfoo Posted 3 years 6 months ago
The site of this truck in many films reminds me of the cameo appearances of the zagnut bar in many 80's comedies..... most anything with dan aykroyd or john candy.
    grandmasboy3692 Posted 3 years 6 months ago
    hey!!!

    i didnt know these!!!

    tnx for pointing that out!!!

maybe ill find some Easter eggs in other films!!!!
dalmatianlover Posted 3 years 6 months ago
Not really a retro article, but worth sharing. But wait a minute! You forgot about The Incredibles!
second exodous Posted 3 years 6 months ago
I can't believe that I missed it in Walle, it's so obvious, it fills the entire screen. Great article.
