Stuffed Animals

Some of the best freinds, I had

Growing up, as a young child, I always slept with a stuffed animal. I went through many stuffed animals but there are three stuffed animals that held a special place in my heart. Here I will be discussing the relationship I had with these stuffed animals.

The earliest stuffed animal I remeber is the one pictured above. When I was a young child I loved Barney everything and so my favorite stuffed animal was a Barney the Dinosaur stuffed animal. With Barney, pretty much everywhere I went, he went. If I thought I had last him, I would go into something my family a "Barney moment" A "Barney moment" was basically me being very upset not a temper tantrum, just upset and sad. It was usually my big sister, Jen who found him. He was usually in my room and these usually occurred at night. I had many great time with Barney. I still have him but he's down in storage now. It took awhile to find him to take that picture.

This second stuffed animal had some siginifance, he was one that replaced Barney after a few years. Although he did not last very long maybe about two years but he was very special to me. That's not mine, I cna't remember what happend to the one I owned. I think he was sold in a yard sale.

This Mickey Mouse doll, right here is my all time favorite and perhaps the most important out of the three. He has been with me through some of my toughest times. I have owned as long as I have my Barney stuffed animal but he really didn't play that large a part in my life until about third grade. One night I just looked at all the stuffed animals I have and chose Mickey. Now during my early middle school years I gave him up but once I was dignaosed with epliesy he came back into my life. Each time I would have a seizure, besides taking care of me. One of my parnets would always make sure to grab Mickey for me. He was and still is my security blanket. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I have had countless surgeries and I always made sure I had Mickey. Such as when I went to get my tonsils taken out. Here we are both in scrubs. Mickey's bought by my mom from Build-A-Bear. Mickey is the one, that cheers me up when I'm sad. Such as when my Grandfather passed away, I was so happy to have him with me because he made everything feel better

Thank you and please understand this is a personal article and I am you telling a part of my life. I normally wouldn't but I felt the urge to write this article.

Aaaw stuffed animal are someof the best toys/friends a kid can have.
I Still have my first stuffed animal and i will say it with no shame, that he does still lay in my bed at night. It is a really beaten up Kermit frog.
No legs, arms and only one eye left, but i still love him :D

Very good article!^_^ My favorite stuff toy was a plush of Simba (Lion King of course) and this polar bear with glasses. I had a Barney plush too but after watching "Land Before Time" I got into more realistic looking dinosaurs.

i had one stuffed animal of a random dog..green and purple or blue and purple..ill never forget one memory with that...made me cry cuz i got it from my family overseas in romania...i was 9 or 10 at the time and i usually went alone every summer (still do) to see my family in romania...so after one summer, i had this dog stuffed animal as a reminder of how much i miss and love my family back home..i cried my eyes out...will never forget it..and i realize i still get to see them the next summer...but i was a kid then...i was sensitive cuz i always grew up there...made some best friends there and such...they even threw a going away party where everyone gathered to see me...ahh i miss those days....life was fun and full of joy then...now, it's just high expectations and bullshit..wish there was a time machine

I wish I had a Dachshund stuffed animal because I used to play with a Dachshund dog and we were best buddies.

I talked to my best freind, the other day and he was saying I should write a follow up article about my other stuffed animals. This has been my best article yet but what do you think?

What a lovely little article! I still have all my favourite old friends stored away...one of the newer ones stays out on a shelf, because even as an adult, even with someone else sleeping beside me, sometimes nothing beats a stuffed animal to hug. :-)

aww that reminds me of my love Lamb Pie, who is a bunny with no more fluffy tail and countless areas of multi colored thread. I never travel or fly with out her. Baby Lambchop is also always near by to. It takes alot especial for a guy to admit just a thing kudos!

I have no problems admitting I had a favorite stuffed animal growing up. It was a little foot plush from the movie the Land Before Time. Kept me company through a lot of good and bad times.

This article was very very touching and I agree with Caps 2.0, it did take a lot of guts to write this article. Dude, there is a picture of me at my house somewhere with me totally alseep with a Gonzo of the Muppets doll. I still buy stuffed animals everyone and again, well mostly collectable ones. Plus I'm really good at those claw grab games, and whenever I see a stuffed toy of a character I like for example Muppets, Disney, Looney Tunes or what have you and I actually win it, I'm a happy dude. That last Stuffed toy I won was Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. Plus sometimes when I win a stuffed animal that I don't care too much about having, I'll give it to a little kid around, seeing a smile on his or her face is heartwarming, just like this article.

It took a lot of guts to write an article like this, but it was a very well-conceived piece. I have that exact Mickey Mouse doll myself...It's a little torn up (I've had it since I was, like, 9 years old), but it's still with me after all these years.

This is a really great article.
We all sometimes put aside stuffed animals, when they were truely our best friends back then.

I used to have Feviel doll as well, I would always try to turn his hat into the one from Feivel goes West
Hoju Koolander Posted 3 years 10 months ago
I had this fairly large stuffed Lion name Leo growing up that I always thought was cool, but I think my favorite was my Feivel from An American Tale stuffed plush toy. He was so detailed I thought it was the real Feivel come to life, he was awesome...so of course I ditched him when I started collecting action figures.

Kudos! I've a Mickey Mouse doll just like that. It's the replacement for one I had as a child, which got misteriously lost. Good article! Thumbs up!
