Wonderful World of the 90s 3

The last of my 90s childhood trilogy

Return of the Wonderful World of the 90s

This is it guys, the last of my 3 articles about the 90s. It was great remembering all these great things. Hope you enjoyed reading these as much as I enjoyed writing them. So without further ado, THE 90s!

Soaps

In the late 90s these shoes were invented. Soaps were shoes made for grinding. These were fun at school or in other public places. I only owned one pair but I had a blast with them. I dont know if they are still being sold today.

Jelly Bracelets

I know these were made in the 80s but they were very big in the 90s. We called them sex bracelets. If you were able to rip one off a girls wrist than you had to do what the color meant. Black meant sex but no one ever followed through with it. I would have been a man-whore if the girls actually took this serious.

Wheres Waldo?

Everyone was looking for this guy in the 90s. He always liked to hang out in a place where red and white were very popular colors. He was the best at blending in. I think he should have been a Navy Seal.

Power Rangers

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers were the coolest fighters in the 90s. I know it all started in Japan, but in America, they were every kids heroes. I used to have all their toys, VHS tapes, and I even saw the movie the first day it came out. Believe it or not but this movie was really good. I still watch it every now in then. There were a lot of other shows that tried to copy the Power Rangers like VR Troopers and the Big Bad Beetleborgs. I also believed the show was very stereotypical. The black guy was the black ranger, the Chinese girl was the yellow ranger, and the cute white girl was the pink ranger.

My Pet Monster

This doll was very popular in the late 80s and early 90s. He was every boys best friend. After the cartoon became popular, this plush doll became popular as well. I remember he came in a box that resembled a cage. I took his handcuffs off because I felt bad for him.

Dancing Baby

This little guy appeared in numerous commercials and TV shows in the 90s. Just seeing a dancing baby made us laugh and smile nonstop.

JNCO

JNCOs helped create a very popular fashion trend in the 90s. They usually came with the ripped bottoms and the 40 oz pockets. These were very popular with the skaters.

FUBU

FUBU was also another popular brand in the 90s. FUBU were considered the clothing of kids who enjoyed the rap lifestyle. I remember them being called For Us By Us.

The TV Smart Guys

Beakman and Bill Nye were both on TV in the 90s and both were very similar. Everyone argues about what show was better. Im not going to stoop down to that level and argue about the past. Oh and by the way BEAKMAN RULES!

Reading Rainbow

LeVar Burton hosted this when I was a child and we watched it in school. Reading Rainbow was full of cool stories and had us entertained from the beginning to the end.

Ernest

This guy was the man in the 90s! He had like a 100 different movies. My favorite was Ernest Scared Stupid. Seeing him battle trolls was epic!

The Land Before Time

A classic film about a journey of Dinosaurs. These guys were very entertaining and have about 15 movies out now. Little foot was a hero to us all.

Sprinklins

This yogurt came with sprinkles which were located in the lid of the container. These were delicous and the sprinkles changed the color of your yogurt. Tasty!

WarHeads

Sour and explosive. This candy was always the most popular in my school. It was always funny to see the kid who couldnt hand the sour-packed candy. They actually looked like their logo.

10-10-321

During the late 90s, commercials for 10-10-321 were being advertised heavily on TV. 10-10-321 was meant to be used for long distance phone calls. I believe it was 10 cents a minute back then. According to Wikipedia a lot of famous people were used in the commercial to help promote it such as Alf, John Lithgow, John Stamos, Tony Danza, Dennis Miller and George Carlin.

The S

This S was drawn by everyone in school when I was a kid. I dont know for sure if it was a 90s thing or not. I heard it was called the Surfer S, the Chinese S, and the Skater S. I dont know if anyone knows for sure. But I am sure you have all drawn this before.

Magic Eye

I was told you could see a hidden picture if you focused and stared at the pictures in this book. I have tried numerous times as a child and have never been able to pull it off. I dont know if it is a giant lie that I am not part of or I just suck at them.

Monster in my Pocket

These guys were pretty lame at home but a ton of fun in school. I had a bunch of these and loved trading them. The original Pokemon!

Bumble Ball

The most useless ball in the 90s. These guys would just vibrate and bounce around the floor. I think dogs got the most enjoyment out of these balls and maybe moms did too.

The Macarena

One of the most popular dances in the 90s was the Macarena. Everyone at all ages knew how to do the Macarena. Now and days people do it as a joke. I hope it comes back because thats the only dance I know the moves to!

Stretch and Fetch Armstrong

These toys are forgotten by many but not by me. Stretch and Fetch seemed like they could stretch for miles. I used to bring these guys to school every week for Show and Tell.

TV Guide

If you had basic cable in the 90s, than you most likely subscribed to the TV Guide. Your other option was watching channel 3 and waiting 15 minutes for the channels to cycle through. The TV Guide was my time portal into the current weeks TV future.

DunkAroos

Cookies and Frosting! These were delicious and I loved the chocolate frosting. I dont see them anywhere but I heard they are being sold at wholesale clubs like Costco and BJs.

Koalas March

Another delicious snack that I dont see anymore. Chocolate filled Koalas should come back to all supermarket shelves!

The Pizza Head Show

This was a commercial from Pizza Hut. Basically Pizza Head would always get in awkward situations like Mr. Bill. He was always scared of Steve who was a pizza cutter in disguise. I thought it was hilarious as a kid and its on YouTube, so check it out.

Mr. Freeze

Freeze pops from Mr. Freeze were my favorite. Growing up in Florida, everyday was a hot day and Mr. Freezes freeze pops were the best fix.

Glow in the Dark

Glow in the Dark was everywhere in the 90s. From aliens that grew in a bottle to the stars you put on your ceiling. It was an amazing thing and I rarely see it anymore except at Spencers.

Rollerblades

No more roller skates for us 90s kids, we had rollerblades! Rollerblades in my opinion were a lot easier to use and a lot faster. Everyone owned a pair. I hated how I would have to literally pull with everything I had just to get the skate off my foot. The plastic straps were so ineffective and would always come undone.

Madballs

Unlike the Bumble Ball, Madballs were gnarly. Each Madball had their own unique and grotesque face. I tried collecting them all but failed and now I dont have any of them.

Banned Shows

What I mean by banned shows is that I was not allowed to watch these as a kid, but always did. I would stay up late to watch South Park and Beavis and Butt-Head. Ren and Stimpy was on Nickelodeon, so it was easy to sneak that one by. By the time Celebrity Death Match came out I was old enough to watch any TV show I wanted. The reason Celebrity Deathmatch made the list is because along with the other shows it was full of animated violence and became the must see show in the 90s.

Sockem Boppers

More fun than a pillow fight. These were the 90s version of the Hulk Hands you see today. The concept was to beat the crap out of your friends with inflated plastic. We played with these for hours. Of course we got hurt but that was all part of the fun.

The Bulls

I dont care what state you were living in during the 90s, the Chicago Bulls was a team loved by everyone. Looking back at my yearbook from the 90s, I saw that at least 5 kids on every page had a Bulls jersey or shirt on. I always played as the Bulls in NBA Jam! Michael and Pippen were our Gods!

Now Thats What I Call Music

Everyone should know what the NOW CDs are. There are probably at least 2000 NOW CDs today, but the first NOW CD came out in the 90s. This was my way of getting a mix CD before I started using CD burners.

Nickelodeon Magazine

If you watched Nickelodeon in the 90s than you remember the Nickelodeon Magazine commercials. Nickelodeon Magazine was the kid version of People. They were jam-packed with fun articles and activities. I remember looking at this magazine a little bit ago and it just didnt seem the same. Nickelodeon Magazine was the kid magazine of the 90s.

Discovery Zone!

If this doesnt bring back memories, than I dont know what will. Discovery Zone (aka DZ) was the coolest place to go in the 90s. You didnt have a smelly rat that your parents would make you hug for a photo for grandma. Instead DZ was our castle filled with slides, ball pits, tubes, walls to climb, and rolling pipes to slide across. This was our escape from our parents and we never wanted to leave.

Back to School

School was a major part of my life in the 90s. Since I spent a lot of time there, I decided to add this section to my article. These are some of the things that made school in 90s a little special!

Trapper Keeper

The coolest binder in school back in the 90s was the Trapper Keeper. Insane graphics kept them popular for years. Wish I still had my trapper keeper; I would use it in college.

Yikes! Pencils

Speaking about school, who didnt have Yikes! Pencils! Yikes! Were the coolest pencils and always had the most wacky and unique designs and erasers.

Smelly Markers

Who could explain these better than Dane Cook? No one can! He did a skit on these and was exactly right. The Black ones smelt like an asshole. Sitting around and smelling these were good times.

Spacemakers

Pencil boxes with bumps. Not really exciting, but everyone had one. We didnt use these to keep our pencils and safety scissors in. These were used to stash our toys and comic cards.

Push Pencils

Push pencils were the mechanical pencils of the 90s. I used to go through all of the tips in one day. I believe you got less lead for your buck!

Lisa Frank

If you went to school in the 90s and you were a girl than you most likely had Lisa Frank school supplies. Lisa Frank was filled with animals and bright colors. You didnt want to borrow a girls pencil if you forgot yours because you would end up with a unicorn on it and that just wasnt cool.

Book It!

I remember Book It! from school in the 90s. Reading books for Pizza Hut pizza! The 90s was truly a time of greatness!

Ok guys. This is the end of the Wonderful World of the 90s trilogy. It was great talking about all of my past memories of the 90s with you. Thank you for reading the last 2 articles in the trilogy. They have been up for less than a week and have already gained a lot of popularity and attention! Hope you guys like my future articles as much as you liked these. See you all next time.

    Nice end to your trilogy!
I remember most of these things too. I am surprised at a lot of these things - I grew up in Australia and a lot of these were very popular here too, such as: the sex bracelets lol, WhoTF made those up?
the power rangers movie i saw day one aswell (obviously a world wide thing)
the Surfer/Skater 'S' - very popular in school. I'm sure it was 1998-2000 that thing because I remember it in Year 6 (2000 for me)
DUNKAROOS - forgot about that until you mentioned it - I LOVED THESE, they were in my lunchbox for years.

DISCOVERY ZONE - here in Aus we had the same concept except it was called -Hide 'N' Seek-, it was always a field trip favourite as it was next to 'Intencity' (TimeZone arcade) at our closest Westfield..

oh the memories..this site makes me sad when i read the 90's stuff..brings me back

I know that Meijer is not in every state, but for those in Michigan and/or around it, Koala March aka Koala Yummies are still sold at Meijer. Also, does anyone remember the name of the cereal that the Chef from the Muppets was called. It was something about stars and tasted like cinnamon sugar. I cannot remember the name

What a great 3rd part to your article like i said i miss my youth the 90s was the best time to grow up in i know & recognize pretty much everything here i use to have a bumble ball back in the day that was one of the best toys of the early 90s 1994 & for Christmas in 97 i got the most annoying toy ever this toy was so popular back then moms where fighting over it & put it on Ebay it was a tickle me Elmo & thank god i do not have that god awful toy in today's day in age my god what a horrible toy haaaaa & iremember Beavis & Butt-head use to watch them when i was a 1 year old i remember back in 1999 when i was in PRE-K. i called a kid a butt hole & i got in trouble oh good times as for the other shows South park never saw it until i was a teenager in 2007 & Ren & Stimpy did not really care for them back in the day but when they where on TV i watched them however today i love Ren & Stimpy because of its adult humor & i cant get enough of it miss the 90s.
magicalgirlj Posted 1 year 7 months ago
I miss my youth, I rember having a birthday at Discocvery Zone, sadly I hardly rember what the place was like expect for the slide, man if only I was an 80's kid too
magicalgirlj Posted 1 year 8 months ago
you can get Koala's cookies at World Market
    19nicky82 Posted 2 years 3 months ago
I worked at Discovery Zone right up until Chuck E cheese bought them and closed it:(
arikarinyukijima Posted 2 years 4 months ago
They have something at an oriental food store almost identical to Koala's March. There's little pictures of pandas on the cookies, but they're basically the same idea. You can get them in strawberry & chocolate.
mysticwryter Posted 2 years 4 months ago
My husband still has 5 pairs of JNCO jeans and will not let them die. He's stuck in the 90s and always will be.

I love those Yikes pencils; use to collect them all the time.
I would give anything to have a Spacemaker again!
BIGMercenary Posted 2 years 6 months ago
Oh God! The memories! Too many at once! It hurts! It hurts so goooood!
Speaking of Book It, did anyone ever have the Accelerated Reader program in their schools?
    kurisu89 Posted 2 years 10 months ago
the koala march are japanese candy. you can find them at your local asian food market probably. i know i buy mine at Mitsuwa or Marukai. or you can find em online. Asianfoodgrocer.com sells them still i think. if not, i think you can get them from jlist.com or even find them at your local F.Y.E. they tend to sell that stuff there. oh! or your nearest WorldMarket. i know they at least have pocky and kassugai gummies. if you ever go to the SanDiego zoos wild animal park, they sell them in the Bazzar. i loved koala march, but if you cant find em, HelloPandas the same concept with more flavors. they even sell Giant HelloPandas.

merely posting for those that were as fond of yummy snack food as i.
    DirtyD1979 Posted 2 years 10 months ago
The late 90s also had some of the best pro-wrestling. You had the original ECW, nWo in WCW, and "The Attitude Era" with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Degeneration X in WWF.
Goodgold Posted 3 years 1 month ago
i totally agree with you izzbiz
izzbizness Posted 3 years 1 month ago
gosh, I want to go back so bad. My all time favorite decade in history, so retro and rad and actually free spirited. I think 3/4ths of america was nerdy and it was "cool" to be nerdy and into video games, cartoons, and snack foods in the 90s. Lets transform again back then pleaseeeee.
    jib80 Posted 3 years 1 month ago
Dunkaroos, can be found at any Dollar General for 2 bucks. What a great article, mad props for jynco's, yikes, and book it.
    Method101 Posted 3 years 3 months ago
haha, unfortunately, I was a Knicks fan during the 90s so I hated the bulls, and I remember for NBA Jam, everybody wanted to play as the bulls but NO ONE did because they didnt have jordan haha, good times indeed, great article!
    Viva_Los_90s Posted 3 years 8 months ago
I paid $14 plus shipping in 2002 for a box of unopened Dunkaroos that I found on EBay. I was dared to eat them (I was in college at the time, so gladly took the drunken bet)They tasted fine after all these years...which was disturbing.
Fellini Posted 3 years 9 months ago
Nice article. Almost all of these things you wrote about I came in contact with as a kid.
    smooth_criminal Posted 3 years 9 months ago
My brother and I used to sing, " DZ Discover Zone Where I can Pee on my Ice Cream Cone!" lol

I would love to find some Yikes! Pencils :-)

    I loved reading this!!! :)
    Ninjaturtles1600 Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Wow man, you just brought back like a zillion memories. Reading Rainbow was a great show back then. Also those warheads were so hard to tolerate, I have to admit the blue ones were like unbearable. Now that you mention that "S" thing I do remember, but i dont know why people did it at all. I also had forgotten about those chocolate filled koalas, all the asian kids had them haha.
    CemeteryGirl23 Posted 3 years 10 months ago
I've seen a Japanese version of the Koalas March at places like FYE or other places that sell anime and/or manga.

    AGENT209T Posted 3 years 10 months ago
WOW 10-10-321 i forgot about those not to mention David Arquette doing the 1-800-CALL-ATT and yeah the "S" thing i remember that also where did that come from lol. Beakman Rules
davegorack Posted 3 years 10 months ago
    God i miss the 90's.

    Xeno34 Posted 3 years 10 months ago

    she-ra21 Posted 3 years 10 months ago

Push pencils! I'd forgotten about those. lol

Great list, but there's not enough info on each item for my taste.
shellmybell Posted 3 years 10 months ago
OH and stretch armstrong!! I loved, LOVED sticking pins in this guy....I would have fun for hours sticking needles in him and squeezing all the goo out of him lol
shellmybell Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Wow, this article was amazing....the first one i've come across that I can remember each item listed VIVIDLY :) I thought I was the only one who adored the power rangers movie lol
    LBD_Nytetrayn Posted 3 years 10 months ago
    Ah, the memories.

Is "Book It!" still around? It should be, if it isn't.
TheOutlaw Posted 3 years 10 months ago
    Good times all around!
Sunni Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Haha yes! That infamous S that everyone including myself would draw. Kudos for mentioning that. Also, the spacemaker pencil cases were used to make bookmarks in my school by taking colored glue, pouring into the spacemaker part on top, and coloring it with markers, glue, or whatever you wanted. This may have been a fad exclusive to my school, but I thought I'd mention it because I think it deserves some recognition.
PrincessAngel Posted 3 years 10 months ago
I totally remember everything except the 1st one listed, the shoes. It really does bring back a lot of great memories!! Now everyone make a time machine so we can go back! lol I was in the Book It Pizza Hut Reading Club, had the Trapper Keeper, Lisa Frank, pencils, Mad Balls, went to Discovery Zone, didn't have JNCO but remembered seeing them as well. I have had just about everything on this list!! Wow!
leahsays Posted 3 years 10 months ago
    Oh god, Koala Yummies
happysmiler Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Wow... This brings back a lot of memories! :)

    AWESOME ARTICLE

Everything from the "S" to "sokem boppers" to "DZ", to when nickelodeon was cool was all so true!!

This article took me back in time.
Ydoc Posted 3 years 10 months ago
    DunkAroos were great.
Goodgold Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Twinkie, that comment about 'finishing a book' made my night. XD

Thank you all for the feedback!
twinkiethekid Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Yeah man, Book It! Creating fat, academic-types since 1984. To this day, I still expect someone to hand me a personal pan pizza any time I finish a book.
    This_guy Posted 3 years 10 months ago
The 90's were full of useless crap that everyone just had to have. And gimmicky snacks (oh, the gimmicky snacks were plentiful back then). I complete forgot about the original pocket monsters, "Monster in My Pocket" (weren't some of them squishy).

Excellent conclusion to an excellent series. "DZ! Where kids wanna be!" Except me, my parents never took me.
MrCtheAmazing Posted 3 years 10 months ago
MONSTER IN MY POCKET! Oh my God, does that solve a mystery. I always had this vague memory of a little skeleton figurine, and when I was a teenager I was rummaging through my closet, and found a box full of Monster in My Pocket trading cards; I had no idea what they were at the time.

I definitely remember JNCO, even had a few pairs when I entered high school. *shudder* I don't know what I was thinking, but I do have to give them credit for 1) making sneaking food and drink into the movies very easy and 2) helping hide erections during those awkward first stages of puberty.

Damn, I remember all of this. I remember 10-10-321 (along with 1-800 Call ATT), I looked like the kid on the Warheads wrapper the first time I tried one, I always sucked at the Magic Eye books, I was banned from those same shows, I had a Jordan jersey and I didn't even watch basketball, and once a teacher got very upset with me when I wouldn't stop sniffing those markers. Awesome article.
JaredSouth Posted 3 years 10 months ago
    GROOVY!!
AfterIllusion Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Oh man, Discovery Zone. I haven't heard that name in years! I remember there used to be one next to the Media Play (also defunct) in Toledo Ohio. Last time I went there had to be in 1998. Great times!
Nostariel Posted 3 years 10 months ago
What a great way to end the series.^_^ Omg you struck a cord with Yikes!Pencils, I always had one of those back then. Never cared for the push pencils though cause you definitely were screwed if you lost a piece.xD Dunkaroos I haven't seen in ages, same with Koalas March (now they only sell Hello Panda T_T) but if I ever go back to Japan for vacation definitely getting a pack of those. Ah, that mysterious "S"...drew those and never knew what it meant. They still have smelly markers around so that's nice though the Discovery Zone didn't bring out any memories because I didn't live in the U.S during the 90's, instead we had the mall park.
Lyftd Posted 3 years 10 months ago
annother thing about the PUSH PENCILS... you were screwed if you lost one the white lead cases! that sucked! and no eraser either.
    futuramafan95 Posted 3 years 10 months ago
sockem' boppers sockem' boppers more fun than a pillow fight! Those things were freakin' awsome!
bnlvince Posted 3 years 10 months ago
awesome article. it brings back a lot of memories.
CheezNapkin Posted 3 years 10 months ago
oh shit i remember the skater S, I used to draw it all over my notebooks when I was in 4th grade.
HairMetal Posted 3 years 10 months ago
dude, nice article man. You really put some thought into this
nick Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Thankfully, Mtv2 Legit shows Beavis and Butt Head and Celebrity Deathmatch
chimpsinties Posted 3 years 10 months ago
It's worth trawling through an atricle like this just to see that one thing you've not thought about (read, forgot) in years. For me it was Madballs. I used to have a couple of them when I was a kid.

    That and the dancing baby.
Warden Posted 3 years 10 months ago
By the way 10-10-321 was called just 10-321 before and then after 10-10-321 it was 10-10-220. I remember those commercials so well. I hated the dancing baby though, that's one thing I won't ever miss. We never had discovery zone where I'm from but we had something pretty much the exact same and just 5 minutes away! =D It was called superplay and it had a huge castle structure just like at discovery zone. I remember even getting lost in the tubes one time (or few times) because it was so big. They got rid of it years ago and now it's some furniture store =[ oh well. Never heard of beakman. I remember reading a lot of books in school and getting book it cards. I remember I got so many free meals at pizza hut but I never got them because my dad was a greedy bastard who never did anything for me. I saw that S few years back not too long ago. I've drawn it too just because. Many so many good memories. Does anyone remember yack back though? If that's how you spell it. It was another 90's hip thing that seems to be forgotten completely now. I had about 3 of them.
Warden Posted 3 years 10 months ago
LOL the Lisa Frank one really got to me because that's exactly what happened to me countless of times back as a kid. I would always lose pencils and end up barrowing a pencil from a girl and it would be lisa frank and yes many times I did get the unicorn lol. I remember using it only when there weren't many people around or everyone was focused on something else so I can hide it and if it's obvious then I just hide it under the desk or something lol. Good times. Great article.
Undertones Posted 3 years 10 months ago
That "S" was (and likely still is) gang related in my area. The "surreños" adopted it as their logo. But I still smiled when I saw it in your article because I didn't know it was gang related when I was a kid lol. I saw a lot of kids drawing it so I tried drawing it one day because I thought it looked cool. My teacher saw it and literally sent me to the office. It might seem funny now (and it is) but as a kid I was angry, scared, and confused. Stupid gangs adding bad connotations to cool symbols!

    Great article!
    Ian16545 Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Thanks for another trip through my decade, Dustin.

After all, even though I was brought up on stuff that was born in the 80's, I'm still a kid of the 90's.
Detox Posted 3 years 10 months ago
ahahaha, so I guess the that "s" symbol mads its way into canada as well...it actually still went on, even after the 90's..I tried to draw it, but failed miserably..still, I never knew the significance of it, I didn't know why they liked drawing it so much. Dunkaroos, one of my favorite snacks, the dipping chocolate was awesome, I liked the white chocolate dip the most. They still sell them, check your nearest wal-mart or local convenience store, they should have it.
AcousticWonder Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Wow. Haven't thought of Yikes Pencils or Madballs in a decade. My little brother had a Bumble Ball and I thought it was kind of fun to play with. It was hard to hold onto.
Robert Long Posted 3 years 10 months ago
The picture of Celeberty Deathmatch is accually cover art from the PS2 game.
(Bit of useless trivia I thought I'd throw in)

I enjoy your article it to me back to the 90's for few. Thankyou for the sweet memories of my childhood.
Goodgold Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Some of the stuff was mentioned that it originated in the 80s, buy hey, I was originated in the 80s but I will forever be a 90s kid =]
I have a Publix across the street from me and I never see those Koalas there. Im going to raid there shelves tomorrow.
Cythus Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Dude, I loved your articles, for the most part it was exactly what my 90's experience was.
And on the note of Koala's March, we actually sell those at the store I work at (Publix).
dalmatianlover Posted 3 years 10 months ago
Thanks for the 90's memories! Although, some of the things you listed originated in the 80's, actually.
omgjadee Posted 3 years 10 months ago
omg this legit brought back so many memories!! I loved Lisa Frank and always faught with my older sister about who would have the Horse folder vs the Bear,,, sadly, I always ended up with the Bear.
Roadgeek Posted 3 years 10 months ago
You've done it again! You really know how to write articles!

The Dancing Baby! I remember that baby did commercials for 98.7 The Point (Now 98.7 Simon) in the late '90s. He even popped up during Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve '99.

I definitely remember Bumble Balls. Those were out in 1994. I remember being a kid then and my dad taking me to every store and mall in town (and other towns) looking for a Bumble Ball. No one had them because they were in such high demand. I finally got one and played with it for only a day until I got tired of it!

You should really write more articles here. Now that you're through with this series, perhaps you should try a different series of '90s related articles.

Wren & Stimpy is simply one of the best cartoons ever made...ever...in the history of the world...the universe...the...well you get the point. It made us all experience a little "happy happy" and "joy joy"! Damn I miss Powdered Toast Maaaaaaaan!!

I remember several of these back in the 90's: Power Rangers (Completely Addicited from MMPR-DinoThunder), Ernest, Bill Nye the science guy, Pizza Head show, and watching Celebrity Deathmatch. (I loved when they had Stone Cold: The TEXAS Rattle snake on the show)

I always though that "S" was for Stussy, even though I knew Stussy brand clothes had a different logo. A great mystery indeed. I had forgotten those Bumble Balls even existed, we were easily entertained back then. I had a mini Stretch Armstrong and a full size version of his arch enemy Vac-Man, oh the battles they had! A fine end to the trilogy.

My God I despise that Dancing Baby. Laugh and smile nonstop? I don't think so. But on a positive note, loved Where's Waldo, Dunkaroos, Koala's March, I preferred Bill Nye The Science Guy, my God I remember people doing the Macarena, sadly I never went to Discovery Zone, and Stretch Armstrong... YES! Great toy. Good job again, buddy.

Ernest did his best work in the 80's, unfortunately.

Fun article, though. Glad the series is complete, and looking forward to what's next.

Man, trapper keeper is a classic. It didn't fit in my backpack easily but I still jammed it in there and my backpack looked funny, whatever I had a trapper keeper.

when the discovery zone closed in my town, a church got all the inside goodness and put it in a gym. I went there a few years back... great stuff.

Omigosh, Pizza Head guy! I forgot all about him, that was awesome! And I'm a girl so Lisa Frank was awesome to me:D The S is still popular because I remember my classmates drawing that thing on their notebooks in 7th and 8th grade, and I just finished 9th. My brother used to tell me about Discovery Zone and I didn't know Dunkaroos were around back then, because I see them all the time in my grocery stores. Major thumbs up for you!
