Memories of my Nintendo 64

My best childhood memories from the Nintendo 64 along with our first two games.

Hello everyone! Sorry that I haven't written an article in a while, I was having a hard time trying to think of another topic to talk about but I now finally have one. This time I am going to talk about one of my most favorite Nintendo systems and the Nintendo system that I played with in my childhood and that would be known as...

Nintendo 64

I got my first Nintendo 64 system back in the year of 1997. To be more specific, I got the Nintendo 64 on Christmas of 1997. I remember the Nintendo 64 being released in the year 1996 and my brothers and I kept begging to my parents to get us a Nintendo 64. Finally on December 25, 1997, our parents got ourselves a Nintendo 64. Me and my brothers were so happy to have a Nintendo 64 but we were not as crazy as I call "The Nintendo 64 Kids" LOL!

"NINTENDO SIXTY-FOOOOOUUUUURRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Now that me and my brothers found out that we got a Nintendo 64, we later found out that we got two new games for the Nintendo 64 and they are Super Mario 64 (YAY!) and Mario Kart 64.

I shall talk about my memories about our first two games and I will start off with my all time favorite game which is Super Mario 64 (I even made an article about that game!)

Super Mario 64 would be the first game that me and my brothers tried out. My oldest brother couldn't get the hang of it so he gave up on the game but me and my other brother still kept on playing. My brother had no problem with the game until he hit the last course which is known as Rainbow Ride.

I was doing great until I came across to one of my official least favorite courses which would be Lethal Lava Land.

I remember that it took me about one to two months to beat that dumb lava filled course (I was 7 years old at the time so I was not the greatest at Mario games yet). When I finally beat Lethal Lava Land, I came across another course that took me even longer to beat and its another one of my least favorite courses to this day and if you guessed Shifting Sand Land...you would be right!

I remember the first time I played that quicksand infested course, I had a lot of trouble with Shifting Sand Land mainly because I kept killing myself in quicksand (not on purpose though). Not much to say about this course other than I really hate it. Stupid quicksand!

Those were some of the memories about Super Mario 64, now let's go on to the next game which is Mario Kart 64.

Mario Kart 64 is the second game that me and my brothers tried out. This time my oldest brother got the hang of this game and so did me and my other brother (my oldest brother only plays games that are related to sports and that was why he was only able to play Mario Kart 64 instead of Super Mario 64). I remember playing Mario Kart 64 with my older brothers and sometimes with our friends. I have one friend that always liked to play as Yoshi and Yoshi was the character that I always played. Most of the time my friend played as Yoshi and I would play as Mario since he is my second favorite character. As for the characters we chose, my oldest brother liked to play as Toad, my older brother liked to play as Wario, and I liked playing with either Mario or Yoshi. I have had a lot of funny moments with Mario Kart 64 and one of them would be on Royal Raceway. I used to have a lot of trouble with that big a** speed ramp, every time I went to take off I usually smashed right into the mountain and landed in the water. There was this one time I even went through the mountain. LOL!

As of today, I still have the Nintendo 64 that we got in Christmas of 1997 and I also got another Nintendo 64 on my 15th birthday back in 2005. I still have the Mario Kart 64 game that we got brand new back in 1997 but unfortunately, it has not been working so good lately. I don't have the Super Mario 64 game that we bought brand new because I gave it to a friend but the second Nintendo 64 had Super Mario 64 with it along with some other games and so that is why I have it again.

This concludes my 8th article about my Nintendo 64 and our first two games. I hope that you liked my article and I will try to make more articles from now on. Bye!
