Hello everyone! I am at my 7th article so far and this time I would like to talk about my top ten most favorite games from the Super Nintendo. I would like to let you know that these games are in no particular order and they were all in my opinion. I will now start off with...

Super Mario World

Super Mario World was made by Nintendo which was released back in 1991 and it also had the first appearance of Yoshi. Obviously, Super Mario World is one of my favorite Mario games considering that I am a Mario fan. Anyways, the main goal is obviously the same as Super Mario Bros. 1 and 3, you go through different kinds of levels in order to save the Princess from Bowser, king of the koopas. As you go through various levels, you will find Yoshi who will help you on your journey to save the Princess. In Super Mario World, you play as Mario in one player mode and you play as Mario and Luigi in two player mode.

Super Mario Kart

Super Mario Kart was released in the year of 1992. Super Mario Kart would be another favorite of mine in my huge Mario game collection. The purpose of Super Mario Kart is basically a racing game, you race four laps on different kinds of courses and your main goal is to get first place. In Super Mario Kart, you play on three kinds of levels and they are the Mushroom Cup, Flower Cup, and the Star Cup. You only get a trophy if you place in either first, second, or third place.

Yoshi's Island

Yoshi's Island was released for the Super Nintendo in the year of 1995. The journey for the Yoshi's began when the stork was taking Baby Mario and Baby Luigi to their new home until Kamek kidnapped Baby Mario's younger brother Baby Luigi and Baby Mario ended up falling from the sky. Baby Mario was falling from the sky until he landed right on to Yoshi's back. The main goal for the Yoshi's is to get Baby Mario back to his brother and save Baby Luigi from the evil Kamek. What Yoshi does not know that he also has to defeat Baby Bowser in order to save Baby Luigi. After Kamek and Baby Bowser is defeated, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi are reunited and then taken to their new home.

Tetris Attack

Tetris Attack was released in the year of 1996, the year that the Nintendo 64 was first released. The point of this game is just like Tetris only a little different than the original Tetris that was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Game Boy in 1989. You must match three colored blocks in order to clear a line. You can do one technique called a combo by which you are clearing either four, five, six, and even ten colored blocks at the same time. Another technique you can do in Tetris Attack (and it's a little hard to do at first) is called a chain by which you are clearing three colored blocks every time the other blocks fall down (sorry, it's a little hard to explain). What is even better about this game is that it has all of the characters from the game Yoshi's Island which makes Tetris Attack very interesting to play.

Donkey Kong Country

1994 would be the year that Donkey Kong Country was released for the Super Nintendo. In Donkey Kong Country, you can play as either Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, or pair up with both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. You only lose a life if Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, or both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong dies. The goal to this game is to beat all of the six levels and reach the last level. You only get a life if you collect 100 bananas (just like 100 gold coins in the Mario games), collecting four letters which will spell out "KONG", and three different colored balloons.

Star Fox

Star Fox was released in the year of 1993 and it was also the first game to have Star Fox and his team mates to make their first appearance. Star Fox was Nintendo's first game to ever be in 3D. Our four heroes in this game are known as Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare, and Slippy Toad. You first start out on a planet called Coneria and you have the option to choose three paths but they all lead to the last planet known as Venom. Once you reach Venom, you must defeat the evil Andross who was planning to launch an attack on the Lylat System. It is up to Fox McCloud and his team mates to defeat the evil Andross.

Super Metroid

Super Metroid was released in the year of 1994. You will get to play as female bounty hunter Samus Aran in the Metroid series. As you play Super Metroid, you will start out on a planet known as Planet Zebes, just like in the original Metroid which was released in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. You will find many different areas in the game by going through doors and elevators. Samus's goal is to retrieve the stolen Metroid larva from the Space Pirates and collect as many power ups in order to help Samus defeat her enemies.

The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past

The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past was released in the U.S. in 1992. Link's goal is to protect Hyrule from the evil Ganon and save the seven descendants of the Sages. As you start out in the game, Princess Zelda gets kidnapped and gets taken to a castle (just like when Princess Peach gets kidnapped from Bowser and Mario has to save her in just about every game ever made) and Link goes out to save her. What The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past has that the older Zelda games don't have is that there are two different worlds by which they are called the Light World and the Dark World. The Light World would be the original look of Hyrule and the Dark World is a corrupted look of Hyrule.

Pac-Attack

Pac-Attack was a game made by Namco in the year of 1993. The main goal of Pac-Attack is similar to the original Tetris, clear the lines and try not to keep the blocks from getting to the top of the screen. The only differences between Tetris and Pac-Attack is that Pac-Attack will have ghosts, Pac-Men, and fairies come down on the screen. The player two mode is very interesting, the goal in the two player mode is that player one has to eat Blinky and player two has to eat Sue (two different ghosts to eat in a two player mode? I'm sure that Pac-Man will like that).

Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures

Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures is a very strange yet funny game that was made by Namco back in 1994. In my opinion, I think that Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures is one of the easiest games that I ever played in my life. The point of this game is that you would be the assistant of Pac-Man as he walks around in various places. The only way to control Pac-Man is to get his attention by telling him where to go, where to look...or by hitting him with a slingshot LOL. There are four levels to this game and they are all very simple to do. In Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures, Pac-Man could either be in a happy, angry, sad, or crazy mood which will make the game very interesting.

This concludes the article of my top ten favorite Super Nintendo games. For those of you are a big fan of the Super Nintendo, always remember this......
