3 remakes of some cartoons from the 80s

Remakes they are things many people fear, I know I do. In the past few years we have seen a lot of remakes such as last years King Kong. But remakes aren't new they started years ago in the film world, even though there weren't a lot of remakes then as we are seeing now. But remakes on TV are another story. There are a lot of cartoons out there that I don’t want to see remade and then there some that I would. Now sometimes I wonder how you could make something that was great better. Such as TMNT or He-man, maybe even transformers. Now i'm going to get to the point and i'm going to talk about the CARTOONS.

He-man and the masters of the universe
A cartoon from the 80's that lasted 2 seasons, 1 movie, and a toy line. A show that I was too young to see but I did see its 2000 remake. Now the remake was great. It had fantastic animation and wasn't as silly as the other shows you see at the time and we also got a sort of origin for Skeletor. It didn't really hurt the old show but added to it. The story for the show was really getting good with hordak going to appear in the next season. Sadly due to bad ratings cartoonnetworks fault for airing the same episode all the time, and changing the time the show aired. Also the toy companies fault for packing 10 versions of he-man and Skeletor and not other people from the show like we really wanted. It was a good show that shouldn't have ended so soon. But that’s not the end of He-man sense a new movie is rumored to happen.

TMNT

Also another cartoon from the 80s that lasted 10 seasons, 3 movies, and also a toy line. This show was based on the comic of the same name but didn't really go with the same path as the comic. The comic was dark and violent while the show was light and funny. But that didn't really hurt the show as you can clearly see. The show was later remade in 2001.It has brought new fans and old and unlike the old show is much darker. There is violence and darker stories they even use there weapons more in this show such as when they behead the shredder. This show also stays closer to the comic while also using there making their own storys.So far it has lasted four seasons and is already getting to its 100th episode. The showed as stayed strong and will hopefully lasting as long or longer than the old show. Hopefully next season with the fast forward story which is supposed to make the show more kid friendly will not hurt it. But there is always that lost season which will sooner or later come to DVD.

GI: JOE
Yet another show from the 80s that lasted along time and a very long toy line. The new show doesn't have as many characters as the old show or the great animation or the voice acting. The new show is trying to hit that new anime craze with kids which in a way hurts the show. The show has caused the toy line to change now making the toys much larger, like the old toy line before the one that was based on the old show.

Those are just 3 shows that had a fan following that were remade but there are many more. Now what shows will we see in the future rumors say a new transformers show based on the G1 version will happen? Also rumors for a new biker mice from mars. What does the future have for us will it b more remakes of shows we once loved maybe will they be good bad? I guess we just have to wait and see.

I hope they don't start remaking 1990s cartoons in the 2010s. Not that I care or anything though.

i don't like the remakes i mean maybe if i had never seen these shows as a kid i might like them but a remake of bmfm is gonna suck i can feel it

well maybe im wrong, maybe im just making asumtions to early but thats the truth with 4kids.but if they do have some of these things I mentiond I mite go see it outherwise if its just censored junk like what the shell and nothing dark and creepy like in the first movie just to make it dorky for the little kids then the old movie still rules.

all im saying is that I dont trust anything thats been touchet buy 4kids to be good at all weather its TV show or movies.If they had some lite mild cursing in this new movie (im not saying there has to be a whole lot) and some kissing going on between april and kasey I wuld think it would be a great film.I mean in some films intended for children in the past like the goonies they had things like lite surseing and kissing and they were great.but have you forgot how 4kids does things.in todays world there not even allowed to have a little bit of lite cursing no matter what (one example is how they compleatly mutulated the anime one piece)

well I have nothing against computer animated films but there is such a thing as sloppy computer animation.Ive seen pictures of the human caractors in this new film (namely kasey jones and april o neal, however there spelled) and they both look super deformed.it could have been a cool idea if it didnt youse cartoon computer animation(example the animation from shrek).but if they wanted it to be more like the comics then they should have yoused more serias computer animation(example the animation yoused on the movie final fantasy the spirits within).and it would have been cool if they had some lite curse words like in the first movie when raphiel says damn alot and also when kasey flurst with april alot.

remakes what can I say...Transformers Armada was awesome and the new turtles show is cool as well. The remake of Heman was awesome. Okay Jake first off it's a cartoon. It doesn't have to be as realistic as what you want it to be. I am looking forward to the new turtles movie. Let's keep one thing in mind how technology is these days you even be able to tell it's computer animated. You remind of that girl who wrote that ridiculous article...Your one of those people that wanted a body builder to play the hulk with the turtles being CG and the entire movie being that way they can so much with the turtles and the aren't just confined to one level scenes. It will be great...keep in mind the old show was marketed towards kids and so is the new one.

I've really hated the TMNT remake,the animation doesnt look as good as the old show the background music sucks and the sewers look way to clean and big.and how the hell are you supose to drive hovercars and crap down there at 60 mile's an hour anyways the sewers in the movies and in the old show werant that wide or long to begin with,the new video games also suck there was the first one for the new generation consoles then there was number 2 battle nexas and number 3 mutant nightmare and there all crap.they also released 3 games on the NES years ago TMNT 1 2 the arcade game and 3 the manation project and there was also turnament fighters and turtles in time on the SNES and they seam more playable(and fun)then the turtle games they have today.Theres also that new movie there coming out with that's compleatly computer animated and has no real peaple what so ever becauses in todays cheap world makeing a turtle movie with real turtles and peaple isnt good enough(this is one movie next year i'm not looking forward to)there are just some good shows that just never should be remade but unfortinatly are.
