Things I Loved as a Kid
Just what the title says :). A summary of my earlier childhood.
Hey, all, CaptainofCrumpets here. I thought I'd scribble up an article for you all to read! Oh joy!
Let me just start by saying that I was born in 1993, so a time after the best cartoons were on air in the 80s. Thankfully, my uncle was just 13 when I was born, so as I grew up I was given alot of his cartoon videos, which were, as you might imagine, all from the 80s. In other words, I've seen cartoons some kids my age had never heard of. One such cartoon was-
YO JOE!! He's a real American hero? Heck, I'm English and I love this show. The needless violence? The awesome characters, Cobra Commander's whiny voice? What more could you ask for from a cartoon?! As a little girl, I was much happier to watch this than My Little Pony or Strawberry Shortcake or whatever the winkles were watching. THIS IS A SOLID CARTOON, and so is....
I'm sure just about EVERY kid watched this. I rediscovered it a couple of months ago when I was looking for Hellboy on DVD, and I left HMV with a £25 Transformers boxset... Hellboy can't beat nostalgia :P.
Loved the violence, quirky characters and poor animation on this cartoon. I still watch it now actually... Erp, what a nerd I sound like. Megatron punching Starscream for no reason just never gets old.
Now, I know I was way before my time (and way off stuff aimed at my gender) when it came to cartoons, but I still drank juice from my time. (And nearly everyone's time)UM BONGO UM BOMGO THEY DRINK IT IN THE CONGO. (I learned to sing this song from start to finish inhumanly fast :P)
Then I would eat large amounts of Wheetos (THE ONLY GOOD CEREAL), and drink the chocolate milk.
Though this prof. bloke creeped me out a bit. Erp.
Yep, I shall continue educating children!
LONG LIVE A TIME WHEN YOU COULD PLAY OUT AFTER DARK AND YOU'D CYCLE A MILE JUST TO TELL YOUR MATE YOU'D SEEN A FROG!
Will write better articles in the future but, whee.
