I loved this! I came across it searching Google for the first time Halloween II aired on HBO. It was awesome to find that and be able to look through other guides. A lot of movies and HBO originals I had forgotten about. It was a little walk down memory lane for me. Who cares if it's not an "article"? If you don't like it, don't look at it. Simple enough.
Please don't ever submit your work here again unless you're going to write something. I guess all that hype you made people on the forums was for nothing, because instead of a article, we got some nice pictures, fun, fun, fun!
Awesome article! I had saved one myself from 1986 and Empire Strikes Back was on the main page! It's great that you preserved those magazines for so long! I'd love to see more. Oh, and I'm using Firefox and everything shows up okay. Big, but ok.
Once again I agree with dalmationlover, not that it's not a good idea and some people like it, but it feels like nothing more than a scrapbook archive. Make that multiple archive's of TV Guides. You should have instead picked your favorites and done a few articles or spaced out the submission of the articles over the space of a few weeks. I think it would have made them more special. Plus the formating is horrible, and yes I am not using IE, I am aware of this, but I HATE IE.
What a lame excuse for an article. Seriously, gaijin, you submitted six damn articles, and they're all pretty much the same thing only from different TV guides. Your voice actor article was awesome, but these articles are just overall pointless!
YES, you rock. i wish i had all of these still. i was 7 and 8 during this time and it was always an exciting time when the hbo guide showed up. sounds lame, but back then it was your window into the next month's television viewing. i specifically remember EVERY one of the ones you posted. thanks for the nostalgia high
